New York – Tesla and SpaceX owner Elon Musk has created history by becoming the first person in the world to achieve a total net worth of $500 billion (over £370.9 billion).
According to Forbes’ Billionaires Index, Musk’s fortune briefly touched $500.1 billion on Wednesday afternoon before slightly dropping, but it still remains above $499 billion.
A major part of Musk’s wealth comes from his 12% stake in Tesla, whose stock has surged over 20% this year. His other ventures, including SpaceX and AI startup xAI, have also seen massive valuation jumps in recent months.
