Tds Virals Correspondent, New Delhi: On Monday evening, a powerful car explosion near Gate No. 1 of the Red Fort Metro Station, the heart of Delhi, rocked the capital. The explosion was so powerful that the entire surrounding area shook for a few seconds.
Red Fort Car Blast: The car was blown to pieces, debris fell as far as the Red Temple, and tremors were felt as far as the Bhagirath Palace area. Nine people have been confirmed dead and more than 12 injured in the incident.
The injured have been admitted to nearby hospitals, where the condition of several is reported to be critical.

Upon receiving information about the Red Fort Car Blast, security was heightened across Delhi.
A large number of police forces, forensic teams, anti-terror squads, and NDRF units were deployed. Union Home Minister Amit Shah also arrived at the scene to assess the situation and directed officials to expedite the investigation.

According to people, the car exploded with a loud noise between 6:40 and 7:00 pm. The explosion was so powerful that a large part of the car landed on the roof of the Lal Mandir and shattered the windows of the temple and nearby shops.
Several nearby vehicles, buses, and shops caught fire. People were seen running for safety. Panic spread throughout Chandni Chowk, Bhagirath Palace, and Daryaganj. Shopkeepers called each other to check on the situation.
